This used to be...a hair pin!

Hey dear bloggers..hope you all are doing well :)
I was inspired by the current challenge at Lulupu to come up with this post and idea.
What I did was to turn hair pains or bobby pins as some of you might call them into bookmarks. They were really quick and easy to make and look cute as bookmarks.  I need a lot of bookmarks as I tend to keep losing them all the time ;).. And I get bored of looking at the same bookmarks so these add a little variety too.

This is the type of hair pin which one used to make the bookmarks. They are commonly used to secure buns and I had a lot of these lying around from my wedding ;)..
This is what I turned the pin into.

I made some flowers, stuck them on one side of the pin (the side that will be out) and the inner plain side of the pin can be used to 'mark' the page.

Here is a little variety of the bookmarks that I made

The ones with the punched out flower, frog and the arrow sign can be used either ways..that is inside the book to mark the page or outside on the cover with the pin inside to mark the page .

I'm entering this for these challenges:

Please please do leave comments and let me know what you think about this idea. I'm relatively new to crafting and blogging and would love honest feedback about my work :)
Xoxo

Note-I just noticed that the pics aren't too clear..so I'm uploading two more pics. Hope they're better.
